Mastermind Jason Köhnen comments:
"Recording and re-interpreting favourite songs is always a learning experience when experimenting on new production and recording techniques. These songs were chosen as 'intermezzi' towards the upcoming follow-up release to "Black Noise". Covering a song can give you the space to focus more on the sound and production techniques as there is already a musical canvas laid out to play with. 'I Am Nothing' is a re-work of the 2003 BONG-RA track '666MPH'. 'Dystopic', 'Death#2', 'Nothing Virus' and 'Bloodclot' original versions appear on the album "Black Noise".
BONG-RA now unveil 'I Am Nothing [666MPH REWORK]' as a first sample from the forthcoming album. This reimagining drives the original track into truly lethal terrain, in an unrelenting and merciless sonic assault. Accompanied by a haunting video conceived by Köhnen himself, the piece is a stark declaration of what BONG-RA represents in 2025: uncompromising, visceral, and impossible to ignore.
"To Mega Panopticon" will be released digitally on September 5th via Bandcamp and all streaming platforms. BONG-RA's current album, "Black Noise", is still available – including merch – from our EU, US and Bandcamp shops.
