AKHLYS present video for 'The Dreaming Eye'

With 2015 sophomore album "The Dreaming I", oneiric Black Metal entity AKHLYS conjured a harrowing sonic descent through the subconscious and the numinous. Anchored in dream logic, mystical symbolism and existential dread, the album showcases the unnerving vision of mastermind Naas Alcameth (AORATOS, BESTIA ARCANA, NIGHTBRINGER) in its most primal form.

In collaboration with visual artist Chthonia (YouTube, Instagram, Bandcamp), AKHLYS now unveil a striking new visual companion to the track 'The Dreaming Eye':

Originally conceived as an extension of the band's intense live performances, the video – as with those for 'Maze of Phobetor' and 'Through The Abyssal Door' – has taken on a life of its own, amplifying the song's hypnotic ferocity and dream-narrative.

Naas Alcameth reflects:

"'The Dreaming Eye' stands as a pillar among our collective and represents the foundations upon which AKHLYS was built, both thematically and musically. Lyrically, the song draws directly from one of my strangest and most memorable dreams; therefore, it has an innate level of obscurity that is nearly inaccessible given its nature, yet this deep occluding is also what gives it its spirit, I believe, and I feel that is effectively conveyed in its structure and atmosphere."

AKHLYS also recently announced the upcoming Age of Phobetor tour, set to traverse Europe and neighbouring regions this October.
