MÜTTERLEIN present full album stream

Since 2014, artist Marion has drawn upon the raw intensity of Post-Punk, Doom, Noise, Industrial, and Black Metal to forge a vast and ominous universe. With her third album as MÜTTERLEIN – "Amidst the Flames, May our Organs Resound" – she refines her singular vision even further, delivering an emotionally charged work of darkly cinematic magnificence.

Nine days ahead of official release, MÜTTERLEIN proudly unveils the full album stream via our YouTube channel. Listen here:

While each haunting track operates seamlessly when heard in isolation, the interplay between each of the seven compositions is vital to the new album's magnitude.

Marion comments:

"The structure of the album was very much guided by the constant dialogue between the personal and the universal, as well as the constraint of the vinyl format. I wanted the track-list to reflect that tension, so the flow of the album becomes a journey between these two realms, shifting from the intimate to broader, collective themes. The limitation of the vinyl format also played a role in how I thought about the structure. It created a natural division between sides, and I really wanted to use that to my advantage to create a sense of progression, almost like two halves of a whole. 'Memorial One' and 'Memorial Two' are collaborations with TREHA SEKTORI, and they were crafted with the specific intention of closing each side of the album. The 'Memorial' pieces are a kind of emotional release, a way to break out of solitude and create a space for reflection. They felt essential in that they brought a sense of closure to the different emotional arcs of the album. These tracks are a reminder that even in the face of suffering, there's an ability to find a sense of connection, of shared humanity, and that was crucial to the narrative."

The multi-talented Dehn Sora, the visionary behind TREHA SEKTORI, is also creator of the mesmerizing cover artwork which features a church organ – an image that powerfully reinforces the thematic essence of the record.

Marion adds:

"The organ's deep, resonant sound embodies both the sacred rituals of memory and the human heart's defiance. In a world that seems to be slipping further into barbarism, the heart – like the organ – must continue to beat louder, more fiercely, refusing to be silenced. The organ here is not just an instrument of expression; it becomes a symbol of survival, resistance, and an urgent call to action. 'May our organs resound' is not merely a prayer for the past, but a defiant, unwavering wish for the future: that despite the encroaching darkness, our hearts, our bodies, and our music will persist, will rebel, and will continue to fight for what is sacred!"

"Amidst the Flames, May our Organs Resound" will be released on CD, vinyl – including an exclusive DMP variant – and digital on May 9th. A special t-shirt design will accompany the launch. Pre-orders are possible via our EU, US, and Bandcamp shops.
